It is a truth universally acknowledged that a rainy day becomes much cheerier when one is in possession of a turquoise umbrella.

Fun and Fireworks

Hi! Hope that everyone had a wonderful Independence Day. I know I did! After church this past Sunday, my family and I headed to the beach to spend 6 days with Mam, Pop, Aunt Mindy, Uncle Chip, Davis, and Drew in the fun and sun...and fun...and sun...and lots of sunscreen. ;) We went down to the marina later to watch the fireworks show...here are a few pics:

This way to the fireworks, folks. No shoving, please. ;)

The rest of the week was spent swimming in the ocean, walking the beach, going out for icecream, and pretty much doing all of those lovely things that accompany a beach vacation.

A baby jellyfish that we found washed ashore.

I really do think Elisabeth would have taken ‘him’ home if she could have. :)

We had the most splendi-ferous time this week and then…had to come home. Back to reality. Where no ocean waves crash beyond the next sand dune or pretty seashells beg to be discovered. *sigh* Poetic, huh? :( But, Lord willing, there’s always next year. :)

Fun times. Your photography skills didn't go on vacation, that's for sure. ;o)
