It is a truth universally acknowledged that a rainy day becomes much cheerier when one is in possession of a turquoise umbrella.

The Dedicated Doodler

"Poor Erin, stuck in her room and plowing through that awful math homework she dislikes so much. Armed with only a calculator, she would never dream of doodling to put off the inevitable.”
"I do believe a lesser math student would shy away from such mounds of homework. Not Erin. Ah, the courage of the girl."

"Yes indeed, schoolchildren everywhere should model her discipline and dedication."

*cough* Am I not quite the artiste? ;D

ROTFLOL! Well, that just beats all. Do you know how to work functions? I'm in a need of a tutor. :o)

Speaking of calculators, my daddy and I recently ended a frustrating quest to figure out my brother's Texas Instruments scientific calculator. You'd think, since Texans are so awesome, that the instruction manual would be a bit more helpful.

Or not. Maybe doodling is the key to unraveling great conundrums.

LOL Ain't it though, Sis. Beth? Such knowledge provides a wonderful excuse to stall anyway. :)

Bailey- Moi? Functions? Wrong girl. Definitely the wrong girl! ;)

I have to agree with you on that particular calculator. It has been the cause of much hair pulling and groaning 'round here. And we lost our instruction manual to boot. (Doesn't sound as though we're missing out on a whole lot though) I just make myself *feel* smarter by drawing on the thing. ;P

Isn't it? I googled it and there are folks out there who can do some serious artwork on those things...who knew? :)

Good afternoon from sunny and cold Tokyo!

You had me laughing through the entire post. You, my girl, are quite the artiste! Maybe they just didn't have that capability when I was taking my math courses in the late 90's, but I don't think I could have done that (even though I wish I could have~I *loathed* math with a passion).

I hope you're feeling better!

Warmly,

Elizabeth

Thank you so much, Ms. Elizabeth...I am feeling quite normal again! And I'm glad to know I have a kindred spirit in the math loathing department. ;)

Have a great day!
