Me: NaNoWriMo Participant 2010 :)

NaNoWriMo is just around the corner. Very close in fact. I am excited about participating again, but also a little nervous. Why? Both years have been epic fails for me. The first year I squeaked in about *cringes to share this*...2,000 words. The second year was worse: 1,500 words. Yeah, I know. I'm an awful procrastinator, thinking I can churn out the last, oh um, 48,500 words during the last two days of the month. :/ I'm also a terrible perfectionist when it comes to my writing, wanting my first draft to be just so with no typos or errors of any kind. And that doesn't 'zactly compute with the whole idea of Nanowrimo.

But I tell myself that this year is going to be different. I am actually outlining my novel this time (yes, me!) and so far have the first eight chapters mapped out. Like I said though, I'm still a bit anxious about tackling this all by myself. So my question is...

Are any of my fellow blogging friends going to be participating? :))

Hey Erin!

I'm participating in Nano this year--it'll be my first time. I'm pretty much excited, except for the one little part of my mind that tells me I'll be like 20,000 words behind on the last week. But I'm going for it anyway.:)

I'm a new follower, by the way.:D

You go, girl!

Well, you know, I take a rather morbid outlook on life and don't really make room for such enjoyment as churning out a novel in a month...so you have fun. :o)

Actually, I love this idea. But I could never convince my parents that this is a worthy enough cause to chain myself to my laptop...and I am supplanting novel writing with speech writing at the present moment.

Keep us updated!
